Provenance Connect is a network of provenance research professionals from North America, the UK, and Europe. While many members work in museums, our community also includes experts from auction houses, galleries, dealers, and freelance researchers collaborating with private collectors and heirs.
History
History
Provenance Connect was established in March 2023 by MacKenzie Mallon, Head, Provenance at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and Jacques Schuhmacher, Executive Director of Provenance Research at the Art Institute of Chicago. The network was created to foster connections among provenance specialists in American and UK museums. Since its inception, our community has grown to over 200 researchers and has expanded to include colleagues from Europe and South America.
